Pink Double Knock Out® Rose – Repeat-Blooming Shrub

Pink Double Knock Out® Rose: Full Pink Blooms with Less Fuss

Bring bright, bubblegum-pink flowers to a sunny garden with Pink Double Knock Out® (Rosa 'Radtkopink'). Its full, double flowers and bushy habit combine classic rose appeal with repeat flowering and a manageable landscape size.

Picture a sweep of pink beside a sunny walkway or a flowering shrub outside your patio window. Deep-green foliage frames the flowers, while successive bloom cycles refresh the display through the growing season without requiring you to remove every faded bloom.

Why Choose Pink Double Knock Out®?

  • Full, double flowers: Bright pink blooms provide a classic rose look.
  • Repeat-flowering habit: Blooms from spring toward frost when local conditions support growth.
  • No deadheading required: Plants repeat-bloom without removing spent flowers; optional deadheading can tidy the appearance.
  • Compact landscape form: Typically averages 3–4 feet tall and wide with appropriate care and pruning.
  • Versatile use: Suitable for sunny borders, flowering hedges, group plantings, and appropriately sized containers.

Growing Zones & Site Requirements

  • USDA hardiness zones: 5–11, following the breeder's current cultivar guidance.
  • Typical mature size: Approximately 3–4 feet tall by 3–4 feet wide. Conditions and pruning affect dimensions.
  • Light: Provide 6–8 hours of full sun daily for the best performance.
  • Soil: Well-drained garden soil. Avoid sites that stay waterlogged.
  • Water: Water regularly during establishment and monitor moisture during dry weather. Drought tolerance after establishment does not eliminate watering needs.

Choose Your Size & Pack

Listed size options include 1–2 ft., 1 Gallon, 2 Gallon, and 3 Gallon. Pack choices include Single and 2-Pack; select from the combinations currently offered.

Feet describe an offered plant height; gallons describe nursery container volume. Neither indicates mature dimensions or guarantees flowers at delivery.

Pruning & Seasonal Care

The Knock Out® care guide recommends annual pruning in late winter or early spring when new shoots begin to appear. Cutting back to approximately 12 inches helps maintain a shrub around 3–4 feet tall and wide. Adjust timing to local conditions and remove smaller or damaged canes to improve airflow. Wear gloves when handling rose canes.

Allow room for the mature spread instead of crowding plants together. Container-grown roses need drainage, closer moisture monitoring, and winter protection for exposed roots in cold climates.

Realistic Bloom & Plant-Health Expectations

Repeat flowering does not mean every stem will carry flowers continuously. Weather, light, plant maturity, and care influence bloom cycles. Although Knock Out® roses are selected for disease resistance, they are not immune to pests or disease and still benefit from regular inspection, airflow, and appropriate watering.

Choose Pink Double Knock Out® for full pink flowers and a rewarding, repeat-blooming rose in a sunny garden.
