Choose Your Bracing System
Select the bracing method that works best for your installation:
1. Cross Bracing Straps (for parallel panels up to 75" wide) 40" adjustable straps break off in 2" increments. Combine two straps for wider planters.
Large Panels (71"): 2 straps needed
Medium Panels (31.5"): 1 strap needed
2. Universal Bracing System (tie-back with turnbuckle) Adjustable chain and turnbuckle create constant tension when backfilled, preventing bowing.
Large Panels (71"): 4 units needed
Medium Panels (31.5"): 2 units needed
3. Large Anchor Posts (43" galvanized posts) Pound into ground and secure with self-tapping screws (included).
Q: Will the black finish rust? A: No! The galvanized steel is coated with marine-grade powder coating that will not rust, maintaining its sleek black appearance for decades.
Q: What's the soil capacity? A: Varies by configuration. A 4'×8'×22" bed holds approximately 44 cubic feet of soil (about 1.25 cubic yards).
Q: Can I stack these to create taller beds? A: No, the bracing and panels are intended to hold up to the 22" height in level backfill.
Q: Which height should I choose? A: 22" is ideal for deep-rooted vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and root crops. For shallower beds, see our 9.5" Zero Flex or 15.75" options.
Need Help Planning Your Project?
We know all these choices can be overwhelming! Our team is here to help you design the perfect configuration and ensure you have all the parts you need.
We purchased three of these, each with 3 segments for a 36in ring. The best feature is the powder coating; it seems very durable. However the gauge of the metal is not very thick and the limited pre-bending along with the connection method made it impossible to get a true circle. I was so disappointed, I took a two day break after installing the first before completing the next two knowing they were not going to turn out as hoped. All in all, they are functional and doing their job-- just not beautiful. And the cost? Seems too high for the ultimate value.
