This is really a well thought out "raised planter box". Purchased three boxes and six extension kits to make a vegetable garden. Made it 3 x 5 or 120" x 200", in a "U" shape and an island in the middle. Wife can now plant and not be bent over so much. The only drawback is the ability to rotor-till, gotta lift it up higher and god forbid hit the planter. This thing is awesome, everything assembles easily and looks sharp. No pics yet ' cause it's not in place, but, what I've got together looks like it belongs in a mall common area planter. They still have malls don't they? I' am looking forward to not replacing timber all the time. Did I say the engineering was good? This will be so easy to install a shade cloth or cold frame due to it being steel. Still running through all the options. Overall, I'd buy again and let everyone that asks, know where I got 'em.
I purchased 2 modular (plus extentions) raised bed straightcurve systems for kitchen gardens. They are beautiful and easy to assemble. The top edges have started to patina after 1 week. The customer service from Henderson's is superb. These come with a 10 year warranty so I'm hoping they will last. I would recommend them to others. They are not US/locally sourced which is a downside for me however, they are modular and can be assembled without a welder and in theory can be disassembled if needed which was a driving factor for my purchase. I am considering making additional purchases either for matching edging for lower beds or adding a few more modular systems. Note these are 40" not 48". My 3.3x9.9 foot beds fit 1 cu yard of mix almost perfectly which was a nice and convient surprise for ordering bulk soils.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
If i were to order the "pack" with the four 40" pieces, is there a way to get 4 shorter, like say 12"pieces to make rectangular boxes?
We are actually out of stock currently of the 40" sections. They will be back in stock in May but we will no longer be carrying the packs. Instead we have moved to the modular panels, which come in 6 different lenghts. This way, you are able to create a rectangular box like you described. We have all of the 22" height panels in stock (with the exception of the 40") and can be found at Straightcurve Modular 22" Height Planter Panel Sections

Are these items available yet? I'm interested in configuring into a single bed that is 40" wide and 160" long- is that possible? Is their a mechanism for keeping the structure from buckling out in the center from the weight of the soild?
Wanted to reach back out to you regarding your questions.
The StraightCurve planters have arrived to the US and we expect to have them in hand, in the next few days. You are welcome to order now and we will ship it out as soon as we have it.
Yes, those measurements are possible the modular planter. You would need 1 of the 40" regular planter packs and then 3 of the 40" extension packs.
Each of the planter packs comes with 4 - 40" pieces in a box including screws, corner set & bracing. So the bracing is included to prevent the structure from buckling.
Each of the extension packs comes with 2 - 40" pieces in a box including screws, joiner & bracing.
